Club Secretary David Pope was recently nominated for a Tyne and Wear Sport community award. 

The “Pass on your Passion” award acknowledges individuals for their dedication, commitment, inspiration in getting people active, keeping clubs going, and delivering inclusive activity. 

David’s nomination was successful. The work he does to help organise the club is really appreciated and helps to ensure that over 200 people can enjoy their tennis in a friendly and welcoming environment. 

Representatives from Tyne and Wear Sport attended the club on Wednesday 30th May to present David with his well deserved award.
