Charity Tennis Session

The club would like to thank Nick Wilkins who has completed his last session as organiser of the Wednesday Social Tennis Club Evening - this has been a big hit this summer

We are very grateful to Paul Walton and James Porter for agreeing to take over running the Wednesday sessions

Nick would like to thank everyone who has participated for your support, punctuality, patience and sense of fun.

Nick would also like to say Asante Sana (thank you in Swahili) to everyone who took part in last Wednesday's funder-raiser session for Gathehu Secondary School in Kenya.

A particularly big thank you to Lucy for her very moving presentation about her late son Ian and his hopes and dreams for the school; hopes we have helped to realise by raising £320 on the night with the prospect of Barclays Bank doubling that amount through a matched funding donation.  More funding was donated to this valuable cause on line via Lucy’s just giving page

Congratulations to Amanda Richardson and Drew Medley who were Monarchs of the Court and to Court Climber Matt Parker who was undefeated on the night.

Thanks also go to Portobello Pizzeria for providing  the prize vouchers for the evening

Going forwards the numbers on Wednesdays will be limited due to only having four floodlit courts in the winter

Priority will be given to people who volunteer for the club, new members and those for whom this is their main tennis of the week.
