It is time to think about Winter Tennis

Mike Massey is taking over the organisation of the club's internal winter doubles league and entry forms will soon be up in the clubhouse

Pairs are allocated in divisions of four to start the competition and you play everyone in your division meaning you get to play pairs of a similar standard 

Matches are first to 9 games with a championship tiebreak (first to 10 points) at 8 games all.

3 points for a win
1 point for playing a match
1 bonus point for completing all matches within the month

Each month, the top team in the division will be promoted and the team with the least amount of points relegated

A 9-0 walkover can be awarded if agreed by both pairs

Please try and be flexible/ considerate when arranging matches

The pair with the most points at the end of the season is awarded the Potteries Auctions Trophy
