Congleton Lawn Tennis Club's Super Saturday on 16th July turned into a superb sunny Saturday 

The day started with the clubs first team taking on Bowdon in a National Club League promotion play off fixture - there was some excellent tennis on view from both teams but Bowdon turned out victorious over the Congleton team of Craig Leese , James Wetton , Simon Darmon , Teddy Bennett and Matt Smith

In the afternoon the club’s usual Saturday afternoon tennis session was turned into a special event with food provided by the Sunshine Street Food Company , an outdoor pop up bar expertly run by Eileen Grigg and music from the balcony

There was a chance to try out the clubs new ball machine as well as the fast growing sport of Pickleball together with a speed serve competition .The latter was won by Simon Darmon and Caitlin White 

Sue Stanmore ran a raffle which raised £153.60 for the club’s charity partner Visyon 

Members relaxed after the tennis with drinks and food on the balcony and on the clubhouse patio area
