Club

Membership Update

Dear Members

In view of the government’s review of the coronavirus situation and the decision that lockdown measures will continue, the committee has reviewed the club’s subscriptions for the year. It is unlikely that we will be offering our full range of tennis opportunities for a few months yet, even if we can open the courts for members’ use in a shorter time.

Consequently, we have decided that the membership subscription for 2020-21 will be £50, which is the same as the introductory membership fee. This acknowledges the likelihood of reduced opportunity to play tennis through the year, especially in the summer months when we all enjoy playing the most.

We hope that members will feel able to support the club and join in the next few weeks, but £50 will stay as the fee to join the club in 2020 whenever you decide to join.

Some members have already joined. To them, we would like say thank you very much for your support for the club, and we give you the option having the extra money returned to you or being retained as part payment for next year’s subscription. You will be contacted to let us know which option you prefer.

There are several ways to pay your subscription:

Our preferred method of payment is by BACS transfer as it cuts down on administration.

You can also pay by cheque (made payable to Congleton LTC)

You can also pay via the club’s web site. Go to clubspark.lta.org.uk/CongletonLawnTennisClubLimi…/Membership
and click on ‘Adult Special Membership’ (not the ‘Do not Use’ option).

I am sure, like me, you really miss playing tennis at the club but, in the meantime, I hope you are all safe and well.

Best wishes
