Just an update on the Vice-President's Tournament - this will now take place on Sunday 1st August 2021, starting at 2.00pm. This is a celebratory tournament suitable for all standards and the prizes are Pecks Vouchers courtesy of sponsors Spall Clark. There are still places if you would like to enter and you do this on the club website, congletontennis.co.uk (£3 entry fee).

As you may know, John Doe recently retired as club chairperson and is now our Vice-President. Cheshire LTA and Congleton Lawn Tennis Club are taking this opportunity to thank him for his service to tennis and will be making a presentation after the tournament. We will also be commemorating his late wife, Marion, who contributed so much to the club over many, many years.

In true CLTC fashion, this tournament will be followed by an afternoon tea and the bar will also be open. I am now asking for volunteers to make scones, cakes and plates of ham, tuna and cucumber, cheese and pickle or egg sandwiches and for a few people to help serve.
