This season Tennis Ayrshire invited clubs to enter an 8U team in a "Davis Cup event" at Prestwick Tennis Centre. Idea was that the children would compete to see which team got an invite to the Davis Cup proper at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. No such luck for the Coylton team this time but it was a great experience for the two boys and two girls chosen, some of whom were playing in their first ever tournament. And good practice for the mini tennis league this winter.
