TouchTennis Courts in North Wales

At Criccieth Tennis Club we have introduced three superb touchtennis grass courts.  The aim is to get more people trying out touchtennis in Wales and visiting the club at Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula.

"Touchtennis is a rapidly growing sport which is fun and versatile for all ages.  We love the idea of being able to set up a touchtennis court in your own garden, car park, beach or wherever you want to play.  It's brilliant for all age groups.  Our adult tennis players love it as it is so competitive and fast when played at pace, whilst on the other hand, it's perfect for older senior players too as it can be played slower without the need to cover large areas of the court like with full-size tennis.  The juniors enjoy it too - as it offers the perfect environment as an introduction to tennis.

The rules are slightly different from tennis and streamline some of the rules to make the whole tennis experience 'punchier'.   Currently, at Criccieth Tennis Club we have three touch tennis courts with space and capacity for more.  This will be useful for when we host touch tennis tournaments and other competition events at the club in the future.

The tennis club  is only a few hundred yards away from Criccieth's fine beaches and the town offers lots of great dining experiences.  It's the perfect venue for a future North Wales Open TouchTennis Championship."
