December Newsletter

Hi All

Well done those brave souls who continue to play across the dark days of December.  We are fortunate that the courts can be accessed across the whole year.  However, just a few reminders about our courts:

  • Most of the leaves and sycamore seeds may be down and a great job done to clear them but there are still plenty on the courts and the car park area so please continue to do your bit whenever you attend.  If there are any full black bags still at the club, could members please help take them away to dispose of rather than leave them to fester.
  • We ask that members keep personal items in the club house and that smoking or vaping is not acceptable on the courts.
  • Please make sure that all the lights are lowered when finishing playing and the gate to the courts and the clubhouse are both securely locked. Winter lights curfew time is 8pm.
  • if you see a job doing - go for it: thanks to the old boys who proved they can still get up a ladder and clear out the guttering.

A reminder also that the winter league men's division 2 fixtures are on the noticeboard in the clubhouse so please sign up if you are interested.  Charlie is overseeing the mixed 1st division team.

Thanks to Oliver who is continuing to develop the website, do check it out here. Coaching continues through the winter on Sunday mornings so look out for that too.

A reminder that the AGM will take place on Tuesday 18th February at St Peter's Methodist Church, Cross Hills.  Full details will follow in the new year.

Enjoy some festive tennis or keep simulating the good shots and foot movement.

Regards

Jonathan (Chairman)
