Over the last few months the Committee has been looking into options to buy a defibrillator for the club. I'm sure we all know the life-saving benefits these can bring in helping to deal with the impact of cardiac arrest. 

Well, I'm delighted to say we now have one, ready and waiting to be installed! We had to act quickly to take up an LTA-subsidised defibrillator offer and apply for some last minute funding from Essex Tennis but it all came off and we managed to get this for a great overall price. It will be housed on the outside wall of our clubhouse in a coded-access case, so we will also be providing a great new facility for our local community. 

Now we need your help! We need to:

a) get it installed...are you an electrician or do you know one that could do us a favour? If so, please let Steve know at stephen.watchorn@gmail.com.

b) retrospectively pay for it...please visit our GoFundMe page (https://gf.me/u/ywbdtr) to help us reach our target of £1000. Donations of any size will be hugely appreciated. Feel free to share the link!

c) give it a name! Everyone who donates will be able to submit a name... we'll vote on a winner when we reach our total. Steve will contact you separately about this.

Once we have it up and running we'll be giving some training down at the club as well as via video links, so everyone knows how to use it in case of emergency (and don't worry - it's completely self explanatory!).
