What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
This Youth Red class is a dynamic, action packed class to engage the players and make tennis exciting for them. The focus is on developing good co-ordinated movers with an understanding of how to hit the basic shots in tennis while helping the players learn about positioning their body in relation to an oncoming ball. The players will develop their rallying and points play throughout the course of the term. The class is played on smaller courts with sponge balls.
