As part of the club's ongoing development plan we are now commencing the process of raising funds to enable courts 3, 4 and 5 to be resurfaced.  This work will take place ideally later this year in the autumn.

The project will cost somewhere between £60,000 to £80,000 depending on the final scope of work.  

In order to raise the funds to enable this work to take place the club needs to raise funds through 3 sources: -

(1) A loan from the LTA.  The LTA will loan the club 50% of the cost of the total build.  After initial discussions we are confident we will secure this loan.

(2) Third party sponsorship.  We are approaching our various partners and local businesses around some court sponsorship/donations to help with the cost of the build.  The actual manufacturers of the carpets used on courts 1 and 2 are also keen to help make a donation given the reference work we have done for them this year (we have hosted 6 other clubs and the British Netball Association this year who were all keen to test the surface we have installed).

(3) Members.  The club has a small amount of money left in the redevelopment fund to invest in the project.  The rest of the money will, hopefully, come from the members by the club offering a limited number of unique membership packages (see below).

Unique Membership Packages

These are now open to members to apply for during February and March.  The closure date is the 30th March 2016.  They will be limited in number to ensure that the club still has a steady stream of income in subsequent years for the traditional annual membership schemes. 

All of the money from these unique membership packages will go directly into funds for paying for the new courts 3-5.  So this is a great way for those members who want to contribute to the improvement of the facilities of the club.  These facilities will be an investment for everyone to enjoy for the next 10 to 15 years and create 5 courts (if you include the two courts we relaid last year) which will look great and play so much better than the old ones.

Courts 3-5 are the main coaching courts and the are the club's match courts so they deserve to be the best courts in the club.  Currently they are our worst so the time has come to replace them.  If we waited to raise the money we need though the annual profits then it would be at least 5 years before we could afford to do this project.  By offering these unique membership packages it gives us a chance of raising enough money to enable this much needed work to take place later this year.
