LTA Youth is a ‘player centred approach’ and ‘skill based development’. All content is underpinned by a comprehensive competency framework and guiding principles. By using a game based play with appropriate challenges players learn all aspects Tennis while keeping active on court. In the red stage the kids start to practise overarm serves, volleys and learn how to rally, whilst developing their co-ordination, balance, speed and agility. With red balls and small courts they'll be introduced to relaxed competition too. The sessions are run by an LTA accredited plus coach who is DBS checked and regularly completes safeguarding and first aid training. Each term internal match play and mini award days will be held with awards being handed out at a Celebration Evening at the end of the term.
