Easton Tennis Centre will be well represented at this year’s US Open with three players competeing.
It’s the last Grand Slam event of 2022 and Ruby Bishop who trains at Easton with one of our coaches, Josh Weeds has made it into the Women’s main draw in New York, her first Grand Slam appearance. We also have 17 year old Ben Bartram, a current student at the College, who trains with our Head Coach Neil Plaskett, whose recent run of tournament wins means he has only just missed out on the Men’s wheelchair main draw will be one of the top seeds in the Junior Wheelchair event over in New York.
And lastly Alfie Hewitt, former student of the college has been using our tennis centre as part of his training regime to prepare for the event will be the number 2 seed in the men’s wheelchair event.
To have three players from Easton at the US Open feels like a huge achievement and we wish them all the best of luck over in New York.
