Before March 2020 Easton Team Tennis was flying high. Multiple divisions in every age group for both boys and girls. Teams from Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridgeshire would regularly get involved. Top county players and competitions beginners would compete in the same events and the number of teams, divisions and players meant that everyone had appropriate matches.

Our famed 8&uunder Red Team events would have 24 teams (96 players!) every half term. We had to have 6 referees to make that work

Then came Covid and no team tennis. Over the next eighteen months we had a couple of false starts with restrictions easing then ramping back up. We ran a few small pilot events. However, summer 2022 is the first time we have been able to put on a full range of events as we had in a pre-pandemic world.

The ongoing rebuild is hard work. Two years is a long time in junior tennis, and we are all working very hard to get back up to the numbers when we left off. This is happening slowly but surely. More and more Norfolk Coaches are coming back and sending teams. Teams from both Suffolk & Cambridgeshire have been quick to get involved again.
