Team Challenge is a local, fun, team competition aimed at recreational standard players in venues. In its first year, 10,875 children and young people across Great Britain played in Team Challenge events.
Largely players will be inexperienced in playing any tennis competition and will have limited or no experience playing in external competitions. 
The premise is for a cluster of local Clubs (within approx. 30mins) to work together to take part in fun, one day team competitions lasting approximately 2-3 hours. 
The format of the Team Challenge has key features to maximise player enjoyment:
•    Time friendly for families, with a start/finish time within 3 hours
•    Competition to be local to ensure minimal drive times (max 30 minutes to the venue)
•    Multiple teams to compete at one venue
•    Format to include singles and doubles
•    Team scores based on games/points won, not rubbers won
•    Matches will usually not count towards ratings or rankings 
•    As organiser I will be provided some resources to run the event.
