Faversham ladies braved the heat wave on Sunday 10th September when they played away to Whitstable's Ladies II team.

Sandra and Lesley were quick to win their first rubber 6-0, 6-1.  In their second rubber a few missed opportunities meant that their lead in the second set was taken from them with a 3-6, 5-7 loss.

Janice and Paula had a lot of on court time and lost their first rubber 2-6, 6-7.  As the sweltering heat continued they had a three set match for their second rubber, winning 7-6, 4-6 and 13-11 in the championship tie break.

The overall result was 2 rubbers to Faversham and Whitstable but a win for Whitstable on sets won.
