Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Advice for tennis players

COVID-19 SPECIFIC RISK ASSESSMENT
Help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by airborne transmission, close contact via droplets and via surfaces.
Winter approaching with addition of high level of colds and flu.
Users are players - members and visitors. Maximum 20-24 at a time.
Health
Must not attend if have any Covid-19 symptoms.
Request not to attend if have any flu or cold-like symptoms.
Communicate by poster on courtside board, prominent paragraph in new members' welcome letter and newsletter.
COURTS - OUTSIDE
Playing tennis is a naturally socially distant sport, so can play safely, especially outside.
Hygiene
Sanitiser provided by Club. Encourage to sanitise hands before and after play.
Tap rackets rather than shake hands at end of set.
Social distancing - Avoid congregating around members' playing board. Ideally one member at a time to access.
GEORGE ROOM
Only a few players inbetween sets for a short time. May be larger number (maximum c.20) if sheltering from rain, but would not be for long.
Ventilation - Leave external entry door open. Also aim to open at least one bi-fold door depending on temperature.
Hygiene - Sanitiser at entrance. Encourage to use on entry.
