Our league teams 2021

Southport and District

We have 4 teams in the league.

Over a year ago an ambition was born that all 4 teams would gain promotion in their next competitive season.

This is now a realistic objective and the 4 team captains are very focused on trying to achieve the most successful season FLTC will have had for many years.

Here are our first match results:

1st team beat Mawdesley 12 4

2nd team beat Ormskirk 11 5

3rd team beat Hillside 16 0

4th team yet to play

Liverpool league

We have 2 teams in the men’s league and one in the ladies.

Unfortunately the league committee decided that, due to complications with their new format, there will be no promotions or relegations this year. However, they are still employing the new LTA Advantage system which records each players results in all matches played. In essence there will still be a competitive edge.

Matches commence this week and I will update you in the next bulletin.

This is going to be a great season for our club.
