Liz Cubit, our Club coach, won the 50+ Mixed Doubles with her partner Johnathan Prosser at the Framlingham Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Framlingham College between the 1st and 6th of August. Other players representing the club in various events included Julia Wells, Sarah Elliott, Paul Elliott and Kevin Hills.
The Framlingham Lawn Tennis Tournament is the second oldest tennis tournamnet in the world (after Wimbledon). It hosts the Suffolk Closed Championship amoungst the 52 events that cater for all age groups and abilities. This year it also hosted a demonstration of Wheelchair Tennis and Learning Disability Tennis tournament and next year it hopes to hold its own wheelchair event.
