Dear Members

Just as our 2020 Tournament is about to begin this month, so too do all the rain showers.  So we are in good company, remembering some of the Wimbledon downpours in the past!

Club Tournament 2020
We cannot begin this year's tournament without a special 'Well Done' to some of our mpst talented and prolific club players from previous tournaments, Liz, Judith and Barry.  Well Done!

Please do sign up for the Club Tournament at picknight@gmail.com.  As usual we will be contesting

• Ladies and Men's Singles
• Ladies & Men's Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

Please let us know your 'double', if you would like to play and are not in a pair, we can pair you up so no excuse!

Sign up by 28 August please.

We will be running a play 'deadline' this year with the final being contested by 31 October, possibly with a Halloween SD BBQ, guidelines permitting!

Prizes
All winners will receive a bottle of bubbly or chocolates of your choice!  Good Luck.

Club Session News
Sessions are now back up and running and very popular even if we are still in SD #bubbles#, there has been some great play.  It is good to see so many players on court.  Quick reminder of what is going on

• Tuesday 7.30 p.m. advanced and intermediate doubles
• Wednesday and Saturday 9 a.m. friendly and club tennis doubles
• New session Thursday 7.30 p.m. singles night

Please provide feedback if you would like further sessions or have any positive ideas.

Please do not turn up to sessions on the hoof or wait to mix in.  Please DO NOT come to the club if you or your household has COVID-19 symptoms.

Club Court Booking System
We are now live for all 5 courts to be booked online.  Please do use the system via GLTC website and click on 'more' to book or cancel.  We will adopt this on 1st Septemberclub wide, so please do give it a go.  We are adding in sessions and coaching block bookings and the system will be comprehensively 'live' for 1st Sept...

COVID-19 
We have carried out a risk assessment and need to keep in place the following guidelines to enable this to run as smoothly as possible.

• Book courts in advance via the online system
• DO NOT come down if you or your household has symptoms
• Use hand sanitiser and spray down the nets etc.
• Follow the signage at the club
