Holiday success for Goole players

The half-term break went with a bang at Goole TC, with success for competing players and three brilliant tournaments held at the centre.

Albert was victorious in the under 10s at Harrogate, coming through four qualifying matches and winning the final 4-0, while Evie and Mia continued their flourishing doubles partnership with a well-deserved runner-up spot at Ashby on Sunday.

Evie then went on to finish runner-up in the Derbyshire Open - a Grade 3 event - before ending the week with victory in the u16 event at Halcombe Brook.

Albert also won the consolation event at Carisbrooke before playing for Hull in the Yorkshire Summer League as they beat Thongsbridge 5-0.

At adult level in the Hull and District League, the Women's D Team had a brilliant 5-3 win over South Cave.

Well done to all our competing players, either in victory or defeat.

There were also competitions running at Goole, with Henry winning a quality-stacked u8 event, while plenty of stars of tomorrow were in action at the ever-popular tots and mini red session which has ballooned in size over the last half-term.

With new faces joining us all the time, please consider us if you wish to be coached or just play when sessions resume next Monday. Tennis really is for all, not just for those who wish to compete.
