A rundown of all the womens team sucess in the 2017 S&D leagues. All three of the teams achieving promotion to Divison 1 (A team) , Division 3 ( B team) and Division 4 (C team). The women are really excelling at the club at the moment and all displaying their tennis qualities. Congratulations to all who were involved!

The A team started the season strongly with a small stumble along the way at Mexborough. All experienced players went from strength to strength and were close to being league champions. The ladies standout performances came against Ruslings away Abbeydale B and Welbeck at home. The team showed their confident and solid serve and volley combination displays and this remained the way with 8 wins from 9. A truly outstanding effort.

A team Players : Alison, Sue, Laura, Gemma, Alex, Pam

The B team also finished 2nd in Division 4 after 7 wins an 1 loss. An excellent season for the team who return to division 3. Some excellent performances and standout victories (Doncaster B away and Chesterfield C at home) along the way helped contribute towards a very succesful campaign, well done to all players who participated who were vey close to winnning the division an increible effort and well deserved.

B team players : Anna, Mel, Jayne

To complete the Hat-trick of promotions the C team won 5 out of 8 games in their first season to finish 2nd in Division 5. Some new members combined well together afer the first two losses to produce strong performances. The ladies really enjoyed their first season togther and to finish 2nd is a testiment to how well the players have played together in a short space of time.  The partnerships formed showed some solid team tennis and the team grew in confidence as the season went along ending in the 2nd place finish.
