Suitable for all standards of player the thirty two places were soon snapped up. The windy weather was a bit of a challenge on the day but it didn’t put anyone off and it made for some interesting tennis. The tournament as always was FOC with everyone contributing to the buffet which was served up in the centre to avoid the wind which had showed no signs of dropping throughout the afternoon.  

The winners and runners ups from the two round robin groups went through to play in the semi-finals with the eventual winners Julie and Phil defeating Joe and Gillian in a very competitive final with some excellent tennis from both pairs.

Our Chair Jane Willis presented the Malcolm Rowland Trophy, medals and prizes to the winners and runners. As always thanks go to Jane, Fay and Sue for once again organising the tournament and ensuing everything was in place and the day ran smoothly.
