Winter League 2017/18

In relation to performance this has probably been our most successful winter league ever with both the first and second team playing to stay in higher divisions after gaining promotions last year. If only the weather could have been as good as the results with more matches than ever before being postponed due to high winds, snow, ice and rain.

The winter leagues are traditionally close with promotions and relegations often being decided over the last couple of matchs.  The first team finished in a commendable fourth place in division 1 playing their final match of the season on 08 April some thirteen weeks after the last scheduled match. Our second team who were looking to stay in the third division and were able to play their last match against Stocksbridge without worrying about the score as they had already done enough to avoid relegation in their previous matches. The third team had their best winter season ever finishing fifth place within division four. Well done to everyone who played and put up with numerous cancelations we did eveentually get all our matches played
