COVID Club Night Rules

Hanmer LTC – COVID-19 CLUB NIGHT RULES

  • Club night to run from its normal time, 7pm to 9pm.
  • If an Officer of the Club is present, they will provide tennis balls from the club house – NO-ONE else may go into the club house.
    • Be prepared to provide your own balls as a Club Officer may not be present.
  • If an Officer of the Club is present, they will turn on the flood lights when needed – NO-ONE else may go into the club house.
  • One player needs to take responsibility for noting the names of all those that play during the evening and emailing the list to tennishanmer@gmail.com by the end of the next day. This is needed to enable Track & Trace.
  • The Club will book both courts on Clubspark between 6pm and 8pm.
  • The gate is to be left open for duration of play (to reduce touching of surfaces).
  • Non-serving players should avoid touching the balls to help reduce the possibility of transfer.
  • Assuming there are more than 4 players in attendance, the players should organise themselves into 2 groups; each group can play a short set of 4 games, one service game each; the first group to finish should continue playing until the second group have finished;
  • Switching ends at the end of games should be avoided.
  • The use of the ball scorers should be avoided.
  • All players must clean their hands regularly, particularly
    • at the start of play
    • at the end of each short set
    • at the end of play
  • If there are more than 8 players in attendance, players should rotate so that all can play; players going off should be allowed to exit the court first and then joining players may enter the courts, having already cleaned their hands.
  • The groups should be re-arranged and a second short set played.
  • Players can bring their own fold up chairs if they want somewhere to sit down when not playing; these must be set up outside of the court and not shared.
  • In the unlikely event that there are already 30 people in attendance, you will need to leave due this being the maximum size allowed.
  • The Club house will continue to be closed.
