Harrogate Racquets have been running table tennis sessions at Harrogate Grammar School only  since september last year.

We entered our first team into the U13 English Schools Team Championships and made it through to the zonal finals held last month in Kirkby Stephen.

The U/13 team consisted of Leo Murray, Cameron Lindsey, Danny Owen and Edward Evan. The matchplay was fantastic and we are delighted to report the following results.

Results:

      Won 8-0 to Windermere, Cumbria
      Won 7-1 to Whickham,Newcastle 
      Lost 1-7 to Humberston, Grimsby
      Won 7-1 to Nunthorpe, Cleveland in a winner takes all final match

Two of the boys only took up table tennis in September. With excellent coaching from George Chan and the committment and focus of the boys the team is through to the Regional finals in Grantham on Sunday 9th February.
