Membership at Hartlepool Lawn Tennis Club
Hartlepool Lawn Tennis Club is a CASC registered/not-for-profit community club. The club is run by volunteers and is owned by its members.
Our membership period is 1st April through 31st March. You can join at any time during the year and may be eligible for a pro rata membership rate according to yoru join date.
Our memberships are as follows:
- Honoury Lifetime - By invitation of the HLTC board long term members that have made a significant contribution to the club will be granted honorary lifetime memberships.
- Full - Adult, Family One, Family Two, Country (Main residence +15miles from the Club), Students (in full time education).
- Associate - Child (toddler to Y6), Youth (Y7 - Y13 and Parent/Guardian
Code of Conduct & Safeguarding
We use the LTA's Code of Conduct LTA Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policies as the guiding principles & rules of the club. We review our own tailored policies bi-annually and publish them here on the website and have paper copies on the notice board in the clubhouse. Any concerns about members conduct or the welfare or safeguarding of a child or vulnerable adult should be reported to the Welfare Officer, Gaynor Parkinson in accordance with the Club's safeguarding policy.
Other Information
- Clubhouse Key Deposit – £10. This deposit is refundable upon return of key that can be reused.
- Floodlight court hire is £5 per hour for members/£20 per hour for Pay & Play non members. Courts can be booked on the 1/2 hour with minimum 1 hour booking payable.
- Daytime Pay & Play for non-members £15 per hour
Health Declaration
By becoming a member of Hartlepool Lawn Tennis Club you confirm that you are fit to play and not playing against the advice of a GP or Hospital Doctor. If advised of this during your membership you agree to inform us and to not play. Please ensure you include emergency contact information when registering.

Adult 2024

Senior members are Adult members 18 years and over on 1st April 2024.
Eligibility: Adults/18+ on 1st April 2024, Senior members are classed as full members.

Child 2024 (Primary School Age)

Child membership for ages 3 to 11/Pre School to Y6 on 1st April 2024. Child Members may use the club outside of arranged sessions accompanied by a parent/guardian Member.
Eligibility: Child membership for ages 3 to 11/Pre School to Y6 on 1st April 2024. Children are classed as Associate Members. Evidence may be required. Child members must be accompanied by a parent/guardian outside of club sessions.
Age: 3 - 11 years
Country 2024

Country Adult Membership is for anyone with a main residence and home address >than 15 miles outside of Hartlepool and is not able to consistently use the clubs facilities.
Eligibility: Country membership is for aged 18+ on 1/4/24. Main residence/home address > than 15 miles outside of Hartlepool, Country members are classed as full members. Evidence may be required.
Age: 18 and over
Family One 2024

Family One members include one parent/legal guardian and their children <18 years old in full-time education and living at home.
Eligibility: Family One members include one parent/legal guardian and their children in full-time education and living at home. Parent/legal guardian are full members and those under 18 associate members. Evidence may be required.

Parent/Guardian 2024

Parent/Legal Guardians of child & youth members. To use the club & facilities and to play with your child/youth outside of organised club sessions a guardian membership is required.

Student 2024

Students aged 18 and above in full time education and living with parents.
Eligibility: Student members are those 18 and above in FULL- TIME EDUCATION without an income and living with parents. Student members are classed as full members. Evidence may be required.

Unemployed

Adults/18+ long term unemployed and in receipt of DWP benefits relating to reason for unemployment.
Eligibility: Adults/18+ long term unemployed. Must be in receipt of benefits relating to reason for long term unemployment. Evidence will be required. Please notify the membership secretary of any change in circumstances
Age: 18 and over
Youth 2024 (Secondary School Age)

Members aged 11 to 17 in school years Y7 - Y13 on 1st April 2023. Free coaching may or may not be available during the course of the year. This is dependent upon budgets and is not a guaranteed benefit of membership.
Eligibility: Members aged 11 to 17 in School years Y7 - Y13 on 1st April 2023. Junior members are classed as associate members.
