Helensburgh Tennis Club recently held a Winter Tournament for the juniors to mark the end of the autumn coaching block. 

Coaches Cameron White and Gregor Chambers organised the event which had three age/ability groups – red, orange and yellow ball categories, with 16 juniors taking part and putting their skills to the test in a mini league, with each junior playing at least three singles matches.  There were some excellent rallies and play, with very closely fought points.  All matches were played in a good spirit, with the majority of juniors having never taken part in a competition before. 

After all the scores were totalled, the winners were – Cole (Red ball), Max (Orange ball) and Calum (Yellow ball).   The next coaching block commences on 22 January (juniors and adult classes) and the coaches plan to arrange another social tournament at the end of the block, around Easter time.  The coaching block is now live for bookings, see under the coaching tab of this website.
