Notes from the coach
Tennis is such a complex sport requiring so many different physical attributes. You require a good cardiovascular fitness as well as, strength, power, stamina and flexibility. This group will focus on improving these essential elements. We will carry out tennis drills and workouts that focus on stability, muscular endurance and performance movement. In some of the sessions we will use weights (tailored to each individual), resistant bands and footwork ladders to assist in the exercises. We will focus on balance and core strength particularly in the context of serving and groundstrokes. In each session , there will be a lot of emphasis on various stretching exercises to improve flexibility and deter injury. This course is suitable for all ages and abilities and will help you play tennis for longer with less risk of injury. This course is perfect for you if you are looking to get tennis fit!
