Notes from the coach

This yellow ball course is suitable for juniors aged 11+ and teens looking to develop their confidence with yellow ball in a fun group environment. There will be plenty of encouragement and fun games introducing technique and tactics! We will coach technical skills on the forehand, backhand, serve and volleys adding power, spin and transfer of body weight. We will also link technique with tactical outcomes in the context of game situations. Our yellow ball programme is an exciting stage where players begin to develop their own style of play and noticeable technical skill and tactical awareness. The social benefit to playing tennis at this stage can also be vital for teens as they can gain more confidence in themselves around their peers and socially interact on the tennis court. By the end of the course, tennis will hopefully become a game for life!
