Junior players recognised for sporting achievements

Three junior players have been recognised for their sporting achievements, with De Montfort awards presented to them by the Henley War Memorial Trust.

Joe Webb, who received the runners up trophy, is one of club’s junior leaders.  Since taking the Young Leaders course last year, he has been helping coach young tennis players twice a week and really stepped up into this leadership role.  He also helps umpire Junior competitions on a regular basis.  Joe is a positive role model for the younger children and enjoys the challenge of helping others to improve.  He continues to also be a very good tennis player himself and already plays in the Junior Teams.

Lewis Paterson and Samuel Courier were also recognised with third place awards.  They both attend Warwickshire County Tennis Team training and even with lots of changes to this demanding programme, they continue to shine within their groups.  Both take part in regular coaching and have grown as players and competitors and proudly represent the club.  They continue to be players to look out for in the future and we wish them continued success.
