CLUB TOURNAMENT - MENS OPEN SINGLES, LADIES OPEN SINGLES
All members are invited to play in the HESWALL MENS and LADIES OPEN SINGLES TOURNAMENT.
Starting 31st JULY with Finals Day on SATURDAY 11th SEPTEMBER at 3pm
followed by a BBQ for all members and their families.

Format is a Compass Draw ( see below for more information )

COMPASS DRAW FORMAT
Compass Draws are the same as the Classic knockout, except when the players are knocked out they go into another draw whether the players WIN or LOSE.
BONUS is all players are guaranteed the same number of matches.
SCORING : Will be best of 3 sets Tie Break to 7 at 6 games all. If 1 set each Tie Break to 10 played as a deciding set.
The CLUB CHAMPION will be the player who lost no matches !!!!
CONSOLOLATION PRIZES will be awarded for each mini draw.

Due to the restriction on numbers payment needs to be made before your booking can be confirmed.
Government and L.T.A. guidelines will be followed:
- Small groups of players with one coach.
- Sanitiser is provided
- Break at 10.30am. (Please bring snacks and drinks)
- Outdoor tennis only
- Clubhouse only open for toilet facilities.
- N.B Please come in warm clothing. Bring a sun hat/cap, sun cream and waterproof jacket.
Book early to avoid disappointment.

Wirral League News
Wirral summer league tennis commences on Tuesday, 27th April. Matches are played home and away from 6.15pm every Tuesday until the end of July. In order to play for the teams, you must have a British Tennis Membership (BTM) number. To join British Tennis, just go to the LTA website (lta.org.uk) and follow the links. If anybody is interested in playing in the teams and has not already been contacted please contact Sue Paton (07548 920734)

About the Club
Heswall Lawn Tennis Club has been providing tennis in Quarry Road East for over 100 years. With 8 all weather / artificial grass courts, 4 of which are floodlit, we provide all year round tennis.
We offer a wide range of social and competitive tennis to suit all levels of player, with an extensive coaching program available to adults and juniors. We enter 4 teams in mixed Wirral Summer League, 7 teams in the West Cheshire Winter League, the Cheshire LTA Inter Club competitions and several national events. Heswall's membership includes county players of all ages.
Our Junior membership is booming. Friday evenings are supervised Junior social tennis evenings when the club is very popular and busy.
Of course, the bar, overlooking all courts, is open for the parents too.
