Scottish Evening

The Scottish Evening on Burns Night was a great success! The weather was fine for a January  Friday evening and we had a good session of tennis before going indoors to enjoy a fantastic themed three course meal. One of our long standing members, Joan, had prepared delicious cock-a-leekie and cullen skink soups for starters, followed by venison stew and haggis (both veggie and non veggie!) There was then a wonderful selection of desserts prepared by Joan and two or three other kind volunteers! Dinner was followed by a Scottish quiz and then a session of Scottish dancing! A wonderful evening!
