On a blustery Sunday afternoon the Men’s A Team, consisting of Steve, Tim, David and Paul, started off their summer season of competition with a comprehensive win over Oakley A. 

Strong winds made for unpredictable conditions, but Hook won the first two matches 6:2, 6:0 and 6:2, 6:0. After a break for refreshments the second set of matches were quickly concluded at 6:2, 6:0 and 6:2, 6:2; an  impressive clean sweep of all four matches and all eight sets won.

This was an important win as the next opponents are Hampshire Court A, who are likely to be a tougher challenge, especially as it is an away fixture.
