Young Persons Welfare Ambassador

The LTA have recently launched the Young Person’s Welfare Ambassador programme and our venue is one of 25 taking part! Our venue YPWA is Daniel Longshaw.

The role of the YPWA is to bring across the voice of young people to help raise awareness of safeguarding and welfare at our venue. They are not responsible for dealing with any safeguarding concerns; these should be raised with our Welfare Officer Laura Howell or the LTA Safeguarding Team via https://safeguardingconcern.lta.org.uk/.

If you would like to find more out about the role, see https://www.lta.org.uk/ypwa

More about Dan

I've been a member of Hoole Tennis Club for almost 10 years, I am a Level 1 tennis coach and have nearly completed my Level 2. I compete regularly and am part of the U18 County Squad. I'm doing my GCSE's and will be going into 6th form in September '23.

I believe that all young people should feel happy and safe whilst playing tennis both in club and during competitions. I want to work with the young people and the Welfare Officer to make it a fun and welcoming place to be where anyone feels that they can approach myself or the Welfare Officer with any worries or concerns.
