As of Wednesday 13th May, Hooton Tennis Courts will reopen with the following restrictions:
- The clubhouse will remain closed for the time being.
- Membership will be just Two thirds of the full original cost for all packages which can be found on the Hooton ClubSpark Website. When choosing 'type of payment' please select 'Other' and pay directly into Hooton Tennis Club's bank account via your own bank. This avoids any fees which is greatly appreciated and helps the club. Hooton tennis club bank details are on the ClubSpark Website.
- Membership fees can be paid in 3 instalments but once entered into, you have agreed to pay all 3 instalments and become a full member regardless of your situation along the way.
- New members will receive a free gate key and when restrictions are relaxed, they will have the option to acquire a clubhouse key for a deposit of £10. On leaving the club, both keys will need to be returned to retrieve the deposit.
- Courts may be in demand and only paid up members will be able to play on the courts.
- Tennis will be limited to singles play only and no more than 2 players shall play on a court.
- Players must be mindful of Social Distancing at all times.
- All 4 courts will be available and occupants should occupy court 4 (furthest away from the gate) first. Court 1 second followed by court 3 and 2.
- If more than 2 courts are being used, players must avoid running beyond their own tram lines and forfeit the stroke in an effort to keep social distancing.
- Child members may play accompanied by an adult member for strict supervision purposes.
- During one on one coaching, parents/guardians may enter the courts and watch as long as they keep compliant with Coronavirus rules and social distancing.
- Booking a court is recommended but not compulsory. However, a booked court has priority over walk-ons without booking the slot via the Hooton ClubSpark Website. One hour at a time.
- There will be no restrictions from the outset but the committee may later impose restrictions of 3 bookings per week per member if necessary in the interest of fairness.
- Players must provide their own tennis balls and refreshment where all rubbish should be removed from the court at close of play.
- Coaches, Arron and Brad will be able to book courts in advance for coaching purposes and the committee will play it by ear regarding any restrictions needed to be imposed.
- Non members may enter the courts accompanied by a member and should pay a £3 fee per hour including those being coached. These fees should be collected by the coach or the member.
- Only Arron and Brad will be allowed to coach and will do 2 hours payback weekly once restrictions are lifted.
