It started with sunshine and finished decidedly cold and wet, but we didn't let it dampen our spirits. The first final to complete was the ladies singles, between the two Lucys. Lucy A beating Lucy B 6-4, 6-2. Meanwhile the mens singles battled on. The mixed doubles between Marja and Jonny, against Toby and Vicky was won by Marja and Jonny 6-1, 6-4. The mens singles was having a cramp issue. Next the Ladies plate was won by Cath Abbott 6-2,6-1 playing a junior Rebekah Sayle, 12, in her first adult competition. The battle for Mens singles champion was eventually won by Paul 2-6, 7-5, 6-3. Some what late, Rob and Fraser got on court for the Mens Plate, Fraser taking the title 6-3,6-2. This was the first time the Plate competitions had been played since 2004. After a break for a scrumptious lunch, thank you Kristy,   Paul and Rhys went on to win the mens doubles 6-4,6-2 in the rain against Nathan and Sam. The ladies waited for a  break in the weather, but the more experienced Nina and Marja  overcame Lucy and Becky 6-2,6-4.
