An LTA Green ball is a slower, lower-compression tennis ball used in the Green Stage of the LTA Youth Programme, ideal for players aged 9–10 transitioning from the Orange stage to the full yellow ball. It allows players to develop their skills on a full-sized court with a full-height net, using larger rackets and a slightly slower, softer ball to work on technique, tactics, and consistency. Green balls are also suitable for adult beginners to learn the game on a full court, helping to build coordination and timing.
