Beginners, Intermediates & Advanced

We run groups for all ages and abilities:

TENNIS XPRESS (Beginners) - Designed as a six-hour course over six weeks, Tennis Xpress is centred on the use of modified equipment such as slower bouncing green and orange balls to ensure that players quickly learn the game of tennis; being able to serve, rally and score by the end of the course.

 

RUSTY RACKETS (Intermediate/Improver) - Our ‘Rusty Rackets’ sessions are designed for people who want to return to tennis. A very popular course for those who have been out of the sport for some time and need to brush up on their skills. It will cover not only shot technique but also the tactics of matchplay.

 

CARDIO TENNIS (Fitness/All abilities) - This is a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by music, you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time. The 60 minute class consists of a short warm up and cool down either side of a 40 minute full body workout.

 

TENNIS FOR MENTAL WELLBEING - Inclusive, fun, casual drop-in tennis session for everyone. All abilities welcome! This group is provided FREE by Bright Ideas for Tennis in partnership with Sport in Mind and JWT for the benefit of local people. The sessions will be run by coach Caroline Care . Your booking does not commit you to every session, as you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you like for free.
