Men’s C took on Men’s D in a battle of Division 6 West. 

With a lot of personal pride at stake, it was Men’s C who drew first blood with Archer and Cole coming through a tight first set to overcome Milicchio and Smith 7-5, 6-2. On the other court, it was Men’s D who took the lead, with Mallette and Perkins taking a close first set 7-5. They were unable to capitalise on their gain, losing the second and third sets 1-6, 2-6 to Cuthbertson and Roberts. 

The second round of matches saw Men’s C pull away, with Archer and Cole winning 6-2, 6-4, whilst Cuthbertson and Roberts were taken the distance by Milicchio and Smith before winning 5-7, 6-1, 6-3. 

Captain Ed Bradford said: ‘It was great to see two motivated teams putting everything into their play, with some pleasing performances’.
