Ladies A played their second match of the season against Ledbury on Sunday 11th November.

After a showery start to the match the teams welcomed the sun for the rest of the afternoon.

Jo and Gill played as first pair but lost their first set 4-6 before fighting back to win the next two sets 6-2, 6-4. Lynn Jones, in her first ladies match for Kempsey, partnered Kate and they secured a 6-2, 6-4 win against Ledbury’s second pair. 

With a two rubber lead the team were keen to continue. Jo and Gill won their next rubber 6-2, 6-1 and Lynn and Kate also won 6-3, 6-0. 

Captain Kate Fardon said: "It was an enjoyable afternoon of tennis and a pleasing 4-0 win for the team. Well done."

The next Ladies A match is 20th January 2019 10.30 am at home against Goodrich B.
