Men's A welcomed Ludlow to the Club on 18th February, in a top of the table clash in Division 5 West played in great spirit.

The first round of matches saw a closely fought battle between Borton & Bradford and the Ludlow 1st pair. After taking the first set on a tie-break, Borton and Bradford lost the second 1-6, before losing the decider 4-6. Meanwhile, Barmby and Packer lost their opening match 3-6, 1-6.

The second round of matches again saw some keenly fought battles with both matches going to three sets. Borton & Bradford lost the opening set of their match 4-6, before winning the second 6-2. Despite being 5-2 up in the third set, Borton and Bradford were unable to complete the win. Barmby and Packer won their opening set 6-4, but lost the second 4-6. In the third set Barmby and Packer secured a break of serve at 4-4 to enable them to serve out for the match and win 6-4.

The team were pleased to secure some points for their efforts in the toughest match of the season so far but disappointed not to come away with a draw.

The next Men's A match is at home on 18th March.
