To celebrate 50 years since England won the World Cup St Mary’s Mens Club in East Leake are having a celebratory 5-a-side replay of the final stages of that Tournament. It is a little more relaxed, being walking football and more of a fun event for men of all ages. It will be followed by a free BBQ where you can meet someone who was actually at the final on that day 50 years ago, who will also be playing in one of the teams, which gives an idea of the standard required to enter. Free commemorative shirts for the winners. Cost is £3 per person to cover the costs of hiring the East Leake Leisure Centre pitch. BBQ is free.
