Coronavirus COVID-19 - Update for members and visitors

In order to protect member's health, and to stop non-essential contact, Keyworth Tennis Club have taken the following decisions

  • to stop all LTA organised activities : Notts Winter League matches are now suspended
  • to postpone or cancel all meetings and competitions organised by the Club for example the AGM, "Match & Meals" etc
  • to suspend Tuesday and Friday Club social tennis evenings.

The Club and Sport England want to support people to stay active provided they are fit and well and can maintain a safe distance from others.

So for the time being the courts and clubhouse remain open, but players must take into account the risk to themselves and others if they choose play and to follow government and PHE guidelines:

  • please do not come to the club if you are unwell or your or people you live with have any Coronavirus symptoms (dry cough, fever, breathlessness)
  • maintain social distancing of 2m (no handshaking or high fives!)
  • frequent handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds especially after touching equipment and surfaces, and before and after games
  • catch coughs and sneezes in a tissue and dispose of this immediately
  • avoid touching your face

Also we recommend that equipment is not shared except for balls, and that you do not congregate socially in the clubhouse, using only the washroom facilities and sinks.

Tennis coaching with our partners Inside Out Tennis will continue for the time being after consultation with the LTA and a risk assessment, but Easter camp is cancelled. See separate news article under Coaching News.
