The Kinross Tennis Club Championships have been running for over 60 years and we would welcome all members to join us for our events this year.

As in recent years,  the doubles events will be run over a single Sunday afternoon, and will aim to blend social interaction with some mild competition leading to a winner being announced at the end of the day's play.  There are trophies to play for, but the main focus and value of these events is social interaction and fun, with pairs being drawn on the day and plenty of snacks and cups of tea for everyone to enjoy.

- Mixed - Sunday 18 August, 2pm

- Ladies - Sunday 25 August, 2pm

- Men - Sunday 1 September, 2pm

The singles events will run through the summer from the start of July with matches organised by the players at a mutually agreeable time, taking the form of 2 set matches with a 10-point tie-break to decide the winner if each player wins one set.  The winners of each match will proceed on a knock-out basis, aiming for all matches to be complete to enable the men's final to be played on 25-August and ladies final on 01-September.

The main value of our Club Championships is to enable players to meet and play against members they may not normally meet, and expand their social interactions in the club.  And a broad range of players have managed to get to the doubles finals and raise trophies in recent years - it isn't always the strongest players who have things their own way at the Club Champs!
