LMTC 24-hour tennis challenge – Running Order

Note: Please bring some spare change to take part in some fun games, competitions, challenges, purchase raffle tickets or perhaps make a donation in our collection buckets.

Saturday 16th September

11.45am – Vendors open for business (Pizza, Coffee, Ice Cream)

11.55am – Opening words of welcome and countdown

12.00pm – Start of play on the Continuous Play Court

1.00pm to 3.00pm – On additional play courts: Fun tennis activities, games, competitions and ball machine challenge

3.00pm to 4.00pm – On the continuous play court: Rob Cunningham v Rob Blackiston – Exhibition challenge match

4.00pm to 5.00pm – On the additional play courts: Timewarp Tennis – dig out your Donnay headbands, break out the Fila track-tops and travel back to the 1970s; challenge your friends to a game or two using our wide selection of wooden rackets.

5.00pm to 6.00pm - On the additional play courts: Teflon Tennis – break out your old frying Pans and Woks and see who can complete the longest rally in our cookware challenge. (A prize will be on offer for the champion utensil utiliser).

6.00pm to 11.00pm – feel free to drop by and support the evening shift on the continuous play court.

11.00pm to 8.00am – Night Shift. Although there is restricted access to the courts during the night shift, play will continue on the continuous play court. You can still check in on our progress on the club’s Facebook page. Keep an eye out too, for some action from Lanzarote and Kuala Lumpur as the world joins in the 24 hour tennis challenge.

Sunday 17th September

Come along and enjoy the excellent coffee from the Piccolo Blu coffee cart.

08.00am to 9.30am – Continuous Play Court

09.30am to 11.00am – Junior Tennis Session (including ball machine challenge)

11.00am to 12.00pm – Mixed doubles challenge, featuring many of Neil’s teammates from the South Wales League squad. Come along and see some quality shot-making from the night-shift squad.

12.00pm The Final Shot, followed by some words of thanks, the Raffle Draw and the presentation to the club of the newly commissioned Neil Davies Memorial Cup.
