New Coach and Volunteer Training
LMTC successfully won a bid to fund the training of on court volunteers and coaching assistants. The club will host an Activators Course for adult volunteers and a Leaders Award for Teenagers. Both Courses will be free for members to attend and it will be opened up to teachers and students in the local schools.
The Club is also looking to train two members to become Level 1 Tennis Coaching Assistants. It is a 3 day course that includes both practical and theory tennis coaching assessments. The qualification is the first step on the coaching ladder and qualifies the individual to assist a lead coach within a coaching session. We will require each candidate to contribute £50 towards the £230 course fee and pay back to the club in volunteer hours in the tennis programme.
She Rallies is a Women and Girls initiative created by Judy Murray. The club is looking for women and girls aged 16 or over from either the club or a local school to volunteer to attend a free 3 hour training course. In return the venue will receive free equipment to run a minimum of one 6 week introductory tennis session for women & girls.
