C Team victory sees them take the Norwich Winter Tennis Association 4th Division title
A 7:1 victory in their last match of the winter season against Wortham on Sunday morning saw the C Team claim the title of 4th Division champions in the Norwich Winter Tennis League.
Already assured of promotion, the Lowestoft team needed a win in their final match to ensure that title rivals North Elmham could not catch them.
First pair Angela Roy and Richard Brabben secured both of the mixed sets that they played 6:4 7:5 and the second pair of Desi Read and Andrew Turner halved their mixed 6:3 4:6
In increasingly blustery conditions the win was secured when the Lowestoft pairings won all four of the Ladies and Mens sets, with the ladies recording a 6:2 6:3 win and the men a 6:2 6:1 win.
Congratulations to the members of the C team (which included fifth team member and captain, Christine Turner) on winning the league.
