Do you wish to spend a week in the marvellous Italian Alps? Sports in a park full of centuries-old pines, excursions and adventures on peaks at more than 2000m of altitude, tasting of locally sourced traditional food and accommodation in a cosy 4* hotel with typical mountain-style rooms and SPA to relax after an intense day.

     In the Franco-Italian Maritime Alps, 60km from Nice as the crow flies, lies the quiet village of Vernante, ready to welcome you with its pristine nature, its sports centre, its park and for the younger ones its playgrounds and lots of paintings from the story of Pinocchio.

In the Wellness section you can find more information about activities you can do as a family as with your little ones. Upon previous request, childcare can be provided for all ages, including very young toddlers.

     The park is located in the shades of a pine forest, where the only noise are the flowing waters of the nearby creek. The sports centre is composed by two clay tennis courts, a padel court, a 5-a-side and an 11-a-side football pitches and a well-fournished playground for kids; furthermore, you have the option to walk or jog along the trails, sit on the benches to read a good book or to lie on the grass to relax. The park also has three well-equipeed barbecue stations with wooden tables and benches.

     The treatment provided is half-board, with accommodation in a 4* hotel with SPA and dinners in pizzeria, restaurants and agriturismo (holiday farms). One of the evenings will be dedicated to a Special Dinner Event in the park.

     Tennis lovers will have four mornings of tennis training. The less sporty of you can enjoy half-day or full-day trips to explore the sourroundings and embrace its history, to tickle your taste buds with local cheese production or to enhance your personal care with artisan and mountain-flavoured soaps and other natural bathing products.

     Everyone will take part in two full-day excursions on the Franco-Italian Alps:

1. Guided tour in off-road vehicles to the Antica Via del Sale (Old Salt Road). Lunch (traditional polenta and sausage) will be provided in a local mountain refuge.
2. After taking the chairlift to the mountain peak (Colle di Tenda, 1800m), we will walk along the old military roads to enjoy breath-taking landscapes and to see the old forts, built in the 19th century, that dotted the border between Italy and France.
